Why Invest in the UK property market?

There are many reasons why you should seek to invest into the UK property market.

Low inflation and interest rates mean it’s hard to find a decent return on cash investments such as bank and building society accounts.

Instability in the stock and currency markets has pushed investors to look for alternative means of investment.

A shortage of UK housing is continuing to exert pressure on residential property prices, according to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Supply of housing is fundamentally much lower than the demand for housing. Despite numerous incentives and local and national targets, this is very unlikely to change moving forwards. In our lifetimes it is highly likely demand will continue to outstrip supply.

No politician is perfect, yet we are relatively politically stable in comparison to many other countries worldwide. We don’t have economic coups, no coup d’etat’s and despite numerous challenges we have faced over the years, our government remains strong and relatively stable.

This gives a certain piece of mind to investors when they consider investing into the UK property market.

The legal system in the UK has been around for 1,000 years and it is incredibly well established.

This provides more security to investors as it helps to stops a lot of unnecessary legal battles. How many times have you read of a horror story abroad about inheritance or how property is passed onto next of kin?

Our law system helps to stop these sorts of things happening.

Land Registry

To complement our legal system, the UK Land Registry records title deeds and land in a national register. Not ALL land is currently on it so it is not 100% comprehensive but it is a great start. Once you have bought a property in the UK, your purchase will show up on the Land Registry documents as proof that you own the land. This helps to stop any legal battles or challenges that may arise for whatever reason.

There is a good level of security in the UK. Our economics, politics, law and land registry provide good levels of depth and confidence to investors (in comparisons to other countries around the world). This is why you should consider investing in the UK property market.
